It feels soft to the touch and cool. The first night, I immediately noticed a difference as I had been using a harder memory foam pillow, which wasn’t good for my neck. Then, I tried softer pillows, which turned into pancakes within weeks, and weren’t supportive either. The MyPillow felt like sleeping on foam pieces, better than the others, but still not smooth, soft, or comfortable. At that point, I was tired of the pillow roulette game. So, I started researching pillows online and found that a mixed gel-type fiber filling pillow was recommended. Density was important, but many pillows were overfilled. Down pillows were suggested but weren’t comfortable for me, and I didn’t like the occasional prick of a feather. Plus, they made me sweat in summer. It seemed like finding the perfect pillow was challenging, as everyone’s preferences vary. After researching across the US, it appeared that most people preferred pillows with a mix of fluff and gel-type fiber filling. I thought they’d be expensive, but at that point, I was willing to pay for a good night’s sleep. I found this pillow on Amazon, with lots of great reviews, and learned that many hotel chains use them. For $40 for two pillows, I thought, why not! The first nights on a new pillow are always strange, but after a few nights, I found it quite comfortable. It has a nice weight, not too heavy like memory foam or down pillows. On the second night, I moved around a lot, snuggled into it, and found it very nice. By the fourth night, I realized it was the perfect pillow for me. It offers just the right amount of support without being too bulky like memory foam. It conforms but doesn’t flatten, stays cool, and keeps its shape. It’s pretty much the ideal pillow for me, and I’m quite particular about pillows. Overall, it’s a five-star product, offering a perfect combination of support and comfort. If you’re looking for a very supportive or very soft pillow, this isn’t it. It’s right in the middle, offering the perfect balance for all sleep positions.

- There’s absolutely no smell or mildew with these pillows. They arrived in pristine condition, neatly packaged in a zipped plastic container bag straight from the factory.
- Initially, the pillows arrive flat, but they start to fluff up once removed from the packaging. Within about an hour, they’re ready to use. While some may suggest putting them in a dryer, I found this unnecessary and potentially damaging.
- I waited a month before writing this review to ensure I genuinely liked the pillows. And I can confidently say, I do!
- Initially, I had concerns that the pillows might be too soft, but after a couple of nights, I found them to strike the perfect balance between softness and firmness, providing adequate support for my head and neck whether I’m sleeping on my side or back.
